This year’s National Day Parade (Aug 9) was held at Marina on the Bay, a floating platform that will soon be converted into the F1 track come 2008.
The series of fireworks display held post-National Day was carried out over 2 days. I can’t believe they are on Wikipedia, by the way.
A whole bunch of us went to see the fireworks display on Aug 18. An old man sitting on the row behind me, left side, caught my attention. He looked so kindly, so peaceful. Against a background of busyness, laughing children (and active ones – the one behind me kept trying to put his shoeprint oh the back of my shirt), bustling adults, emcees over the mic, he looked positively serene.
Agedness is beautiful.
